  1. 1. Why am I receiving this notice?

    Your policy, contract, or account is issued, underwritten, or administered by American General Life Insurance Company, The United States Life Insurance Company in the City of New York, or The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company (referred to collectively as “AIG”). AIG has engaged the services of a third-party administrator, Accenture Insurance Services, LLC (“AIS”) to provide support for certain administrative functions on AIG’s behalf and under AIG’s direction. Because of the specific services that AIS is providing, there is a regulatory obligation to notify customers about this relationship.

  2. 2. Who is AIS?

    AIS is a subsidiary of Accenture, a leading global professional services company.

  3. 3. Is AIS my new provider?

    No. AIS is not a party to your insurance policy, contract, or retirement account and is only providing certain services as a third-party administrator. Your AIG issuing insurance company continues to be your insurance or annuity company.

  4. 4. Is my personal information being stored on AIS systems?

    No. All work is being performed within AIG’s secure network and all data is housed in the AIG network.

  5. 5. I am a beneficiary of a policy, and I need to file a claim, do I now send it to AIS?

    No. Follow the same filing procedures and use the contacts outlined in the policy.

  6. 6. I am a beneficiary of a retirement account, and I need to file a claim, do I now send it to AIS?

    No. Follow the same filing procedures and use the contacts outlined in the account documents.

  7. 7. I have a pending claim, is there anything that I need to do?

    No, your claim will continue to be processed and there is no action to be taken.

  8. 8. Is there a new phone number that I need to use if I have any questions about my policy, contract, or account?

    No. Use your existing contacts if you have any questions.
